The Security of the International Students Draws More Attention


An Indian boy moved to the much more secured Hamilton suggested by his friend, consequently, he was hit and robbed on his way home on Tuesday evening.
This 21-year-old student Karamvir came to New Zealand nine months ago and then moved to Hamilton on January.
Karamvir was attacked by a group of people on his way home along the Lake Road and those attackers also bashed him to go back to his own country.
According to his description, the group of people drove a blue Honda and looked like Mori. They beat and kicked Karamvir and robbed his NZD 400 and a phone borrowed from his friend.
Karamvir was unwilling to tell his family after the accident because they would let him go home.
Spokesman from the University of Waikato said that there were many international students but he never heard they suffered the attack in the campus.
Related spokesman from Wintec also expressed that they had not taken more concern about the race attack among the students.
Michelle Waitzman, spokesman of New Zealand educational organization, says that New Zealanders are welcome the international students.
